Growing in the faith
Narratives Church offers numerous opportunities to not only help you get to know us better, but to also grow in your faith through intentional discipleship gatherings called Missional Communities. In addition to our regular spiritual formation classes, Narratives also hosts specialized retreats that focus on specific topics, including marriage, leadership and spiritual development. Exploring Narratives is an introductory class that introduces newcomers to the basics of the faith, including how to become a Christ-follower, what it means to be baptized and how to become a part of our church family. Other questions to be pursued are: Who are we in Christ? What do we believe? And what is the difference between “doing” and “being” the church? Essentially, it covers the spiritual DNA of Narratives and what makes us distinct.
Building on the basics, Narratives offers a two-year Discipleship Pathway that is lived out in our weekly Missional Community gatherings. The discipleship pathway uses a variety of resources covering such topics as building community, discovering our identity in Christ and seeing God move in unlikely places. Each of these studies is designed to help shape our individual missional calling as designed by God. To put what we learn into practice, each Missional Community adopts a project to serve our neighborhood. These ongoing service projects put hands and feed to the gospel, while building relationships within each Missional Community. To learn more about the Discipleship Pathway, click here.
In addition, Narratives Church frequently uses a variety of personal assessments to help our people discover their own spiritual gifts and styles, all with an eye toward helping equip each of them to practically live out their divine missional calling.
